In 2000, a beautiful and naturalistic log chapel was born. This chapel has made itself unique with its large log construction, stained glass windows and wooded lot. This quaint chapel hosts up to 25 guests to preserve a sense of intimacy among weddings. A professionally installed video system makes priceless videos while still leaving our wedding couple feeling as normal as possible. Of course, since the lot was only changed to add the dressing building and gazebo it still maintains it Smoky Mountain feel. Two bridges were also added to cross our stream that give us many more photo opportunities to the whole package.

The idea of a beautiful mountain top location for weddings broke ground not long after the chapel. This 130 – Acre Resort was developed out of the cascading hills of Cobbly Nob, across from the Smoky Mountain National Park. The location was modified as little as possible to establish a flat location for parking, a pavilion and of course a place to hold the ceremony. The view from our site truly is Almost Heaven!

As Almost Heaven has grown, our beautiful log pavilion was built to host the most incredible receptions. This 3500 square foot facility offers a kitchen prep room, handicapped restrooms, and of course our Bridal Room. We have been able to add on our sliding glass doors to be able to offer a more comfortable setting with climate control or open the doors wide and enjoy the spectacular view. Last but not least, the Bose Stereo system has given an added element to your musical interludes.

In 2006, our new mountain top location, named the Garden Site began its transformation. Whittled into the slopes of the mountain, it’s elevation is only slightly lower than the Sky Site, but the view is every bit as spectacular. The Garden is nestled between the trees to give a cozy and private feel and to add more elaborate colors to our weddings.

In 2007, our new log pavilion was built with weddings and receptions in mind. Open to the view even with a loft for a band or DJ, this facility is gorgeous! This open-air pavilion can host approximately 75 wedding guests for a reception and ceremony. With the view of the Smoky Mountains, still in view photographs are a must at all angles.

Along with the wedding locations, we also offer our honeymoon cabins to those newlyweds and guests coming back for their anniversaries. These one bedroom cabins are constructed by our well known large hand hewn logs. With an open floor plan our cabins have it all: large king size beds, kitchen, living room, fireplace, hot tubs, Jacuzzi with waterfall and even pool tables. The breathtaking view on the front porch can still be enjoyed while grilling or taking a dip in the hot tub. Not exclusive to honeymooners, these romantic cabins are also enjoyed because of their privacy.

As our business grows, so does our staff. Now Almost Heaven has a full time professional staff of wedding consultants, wedding coordinators and a photographer to take care of all of the details. Our office is open 7 days a week from 9:00 AM –5:00 PM to be able to help even those with the busiest of schedules.
